Undiscovered Voice is offered Egmont Book Deal

Egmont has offered a book deal to Bryony Pearce, whose novel Windrunner's Daughter made it to 2008's Undiscovered Voices anthology.

Bryony Pearce

Bryony says: "I feel as if I’ve won the lottery!  I completed my family over Christmas (with baby  Riley’s birth) and now I’ve sold my book!  I feel a bit like I should never ask for anything else in my life!"

The Egmont offer was for Bryon's book Incarnation. Here's the synopsis:

"Cassie has always suffered from terrifying nightmares. On a trip to Germany she recognises scenes from her dreams and finds evidence of a 60 year-old massacre. Fearing for her sanity, her family sends Cassie to a special retreat where she meets others with symptoms like her own and finds out that she has lived numerous past lives. However, the therapist at the retreat is not what she seems. She believes her patients contain the trapped souls of Nephilim and wishes to free them by twisting the children under her care until they are capable of committing terrible atrocities. Together, Cassie and the boy she has come to love must escape the Doctor’s insidious influence while also coming to terms with the pain and misery of their shared past."

If all goes to plan, the book will be out by January 2011.

Congratulations!

Wonderful. And I loved the baby dressed in chain mail at Sarwat's launch!
