The South East network covers Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire.

GROUPS HELD IN THE SOUTH EAST
South East region runs a number of groups for it's members. If you wish to attend one of the groups below you MUST contact the organiser first. The ONLY drop-in group run in the South East is the Canterbury Coffee and chat.
Non-SCBWI members - at the discretion of the group organisor you may attend for a maximum of one month - after that you must become a member of SCBWI to continue as part of your group. Do it, you won't regret it!
CANTERBURY COFFEE AND CHAT GROUP
Jane Clarke runs this group on the first Saturday of the month from 10.30am -12.00pm at Costa Coffee, 11 High Street, Canterbury. If you wish, you can bring along an extract of your writing (up to 500 words) or illustrations for an 'instant' opinion. If you'd like to attend, please contact Kathy/Mariam at

CHICHESTER DISCUSSION GROUP
The prolifically published Elizabeth Dale runs Chi SCBWI. This group is more about support than critique, self-setting targets, encouraging each other and sharing industry news. Oxford Wordsmiths
Sue Shaw runs the Oxford Wordsmiths. They meet monthly at George and Delilah’s ice cream parlour in the Cowley Rd.They are a small but growing critique group with a little socialising sneaking in. If anyone is interested in joining , could they please contact Sue Shaw Southeast AT britishscbwi.org
FAREHAM/SOUTHAMPTON CRITIQUE GROUP

TUNBRIDGE WELLS CRITIQUE GROUP
Jeannette Towey runs the Tunbridge Wells critique group. They meet at 10.30am on the last Saturday morning of each month at Jeannette's house (until the puppy can be left alone!), and thereafter at the Java Bean Cafe in Tunbridge Wells High Street. WOKINGHAM CRITIQUE GROUP
The Wokingham critique group is now run by Sally Rowe. Sally came across SCBWI in 2012 and discovered...a whole society of people like her! People who read picture books and children’s novels on purpose, with or without children, and who want to share what they’ve found and encourage each other’s practice. As well as coordinating the Wokingham writers’ crit group SAlly also attends the London illustrators’ crit group.
